Once Human, an open-world survival game, is now in beta testing in select regions.

Once Human is a survival action game from NetEase Games that has just announced a new closed beta test round, exclusively for Android and iOS players. The mobile version of Once Human will begin testing on September 19, 2024, allowing players from select regions to participate.

Following the success of its PC Early Access release in Canada in 2021, NetEase Games’ survival action game Once Human is set to expand its experience to mobile users. The game is an open-world survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world where players must fight mutant creatures and confront other players to survive. The game has previously undergone multiple betas, most recently in April 2024 on PC.

This beta will be limited to players in North America and Europe, and will support English, German, and French. Players will explore two main scenarios in the game, Manibus and Evolution’s Call. However, the beta will wipe all data, and all player progress during the beta will be deleted after it ends. Due to the limited number of participants, access will be closed when the number is reached. The mobile version does not support cross-play with the official PC version of the game.

If you want to experience cross-play between the two platforms, you can download the PC trial version from the official website after registering your character on the mobile version. Note that there will be two different PC versions: the current official version and the trial version for cross-play.

While you wait for information about the trial, you can pre-register for Once Human on both the Google Play Store and the App Store. According to the App Store listing, the expected release date for the mobile version is January 9, 2025.
